We Found Land!

After months of searching, we found the piece of heaven we were searching for! 30 acres of forest in North Carolina, east of Raleigh, here in Franklin County. Rural enough to be surrounded in forests and trees, centered enough near urban centers to reach many school districts and communities.

We parked on the access road and walked through the trees, our senses taking in the forest. We passed through a transition from pines to deciduous trees and back to pines again. We walked the watershed drainage areas, found litte water flows and ephemeral springs outlined in low ferns.

We stopped atop a small rise at the base of this large trees, and felt certain in the spirit of the place. This is it! The place to build a home for our dreams. A place where we can gather kids and community, learn and teach, adventure and be.
