I Lichen You A Lot! Valentine's Day at Castalia STEAM
Join us for our Valentines’ Day program, “I Lichen You A Lot!” Come for an exploration of lichens and mosses of the forest. If the weather is fair, we’ll walk through the woods and explore these amazing colorful winter finds in their natural habitats. If the weather is foul (quack), we’ll stay in the cozy lab with some collected branches and stones and visit the greenery indoors! Bring your favorite hand lense or magnifying glass, or borrow ours!
Faire at the Farm
Franklin County’s first Renassiance Festival! Come out and enjoy handcrafts, performances, and a day at the farm. The event is free family fun, and all donation proceeds benefit Sowing Seeds, a food pantry at the McPhetridge Family Farm. The Castalia STEAM team will be there with a table of handcrafts and activites, including the mobile forest exploration station and games.
Knitting Circle
Knitting Circle begins! Co-hosted by Collective Arts of Franklin County and the Castalia STEAM Outdoor Center. We’re just getting started! Our first meeting will be at the Tar Banks Brewing Co. in Louisburg, 6:30pm on Weds. March 6th, 2024.
